AMNESTY: Multiple Account Users
AMNESTY: Multiple Account Users
We're all aware by now that staff are putting the clamps on the use of multiple accounts for showroom vote manipulation. Offenders face immediate deactivation and a site ban without notification.
In light of this, NFSUnlimited is holding an open, anonymous amnesty for such users. If you have been, or are still operating multiple accounts, contact a moderator or administrator and advise them of the accounts, listing those that should be removed, and the one account you wish to keep. Once the accounts and votes are cleaned up, No further action will be taken against you - provided that you follow the site rules from that point on.

Thanks SI. The first message you mention was also PMed direct to the site owner, Bojan. As the second post mentions, all accounts but 'Masu' have now been deactivated and the votes from all of the accounts have been removed from the showroom.
The 'crackdown' and amnesty we're running at the moment have found many similar situations and they're being dealt with in the same fashion. As a result, many users will find the ratings on their cars changing, sometimes drastically, as the offending votes are removed.

Well, I am a webmaster myself. A forum about video games, it's in my sig. We moved from a different site, this one just started.GT3x24x7 wrote:IP tracking is one of the methods we're using to identify multiple account users. All moderators and admins have access to IP information. You're on the ball, kid!
Well, I have a question:
I have a brother, he's wanting to jooin, but I said I need to ask the moderators because of multiple accounts. Can he register? Don't worry, he's an honest guy, he won't abuse the rating system, either.
So, can he join?
To the staff
hey IP detecting is not so effective
Cause in my country people are a lot keen on NFSU2
so there are game clubs in which a lot of people play
so you may find 4 nfsulimited.net members with one IP
I have a better idea for knowing the multiple accounters
if you interested post
