REMEMBER: This isn't Holden Vs. Ford, dont jsut say "I l1k3 t3h mU57@nG" and vote ford. It's the cars, not the brands.

If its your preference that it performs better, then its not fact, and therefore doesnt necessarily perform better.
The thing with performance figures, is that theres no real two ways about it. If youre after 0-60, then one is better than the other, if youre after mpg, then one is better than the other. There is no medium.

You know, outright speed isn't really that important in a family car.The Gravedigger wrote:How about I just clear all of this up right here, right now
actual fact..... (Motor and Wheels mags)
The Holden SS Commodore outgunned the Ford Falcon XR8... and even took the FPV GT down
The Falcon is a nicer and smoother car to drive. Enough said.

Quite the contrary. The Gravedigger wrote:and as for comfortablilty... i would guess you have yet been in a commodore
My dad owns a Falcon, and I have been in his workmates' Commodores many times.
Commos have slightly stiffer suspension, which doesn't really soak up bumps and ripples in the road. But that's what it corners a bit better. Also, Commodore seats are nothing compared to Falcon seats. Not to mention that the dash is much more ergonomic, and more pleasing to look at.
I'm guessing that you haven't sat in a Falcon.

Damn, good to see an old thread pop-up again
I hardly even remember which car I voted for five months ago.
But to be honest, I truly dislike it when people absolutely adore one car, and TOTALY hate the other (because of the minor differences in which separates the two). If one person has the opposite opinion, then it often turns into flame wars.
I love both Commmodores and Falcons, but I am hoping to see a Holden winning tomorrows Bathurst.
