Thanks for the update, 2furio. You hard work on this thread 8)

Here is the pic [enlargeable]

Image

Both car and city are awesome. Look the world details... And once again: The stunning lights&shadows effects. i.e. Look at the Bank of Rockport building. It's very good shadowed  [enlarge to see it better] Same for car shadows and reflections.

Now look at the traffic lights and other objects: They don't "throw" a shadow, but I couldn't care less...

I hope we'll get that gfx quality on PC!

It might be worse. I mean all the pics we are shown are supposed to be Xbox360 screenshots.

And Xbox360 is a next-gen console...

Who knows?

The graphics are truly wonderful, so realistic.
I wonder, why do you all think they are X360 pictures and what makes you think the PC won't get those great graphics?

See the problem isn't if the PC will get the graphics, it's will your PC handle those kind of graphics?

Because next-gen consoles have 3 times the power of best current-gen PC, xbox360 has 3 cpu's @ 3.2 Ghz and custom ATI chip that is faster (and has more advanced features) than 6800Ultra. PS3 has 8 (!) CPU cores (each running @ 3.2 Ghz), 512 of XDDRIII RAM (fastest RAM in world, not available to PC) and custom nVIDIA chip that is faster than dual 6800 Ultras.
Next gen consoles will look the best and play better, we'll get the scrubs on PC, unfortunately for those who spent 1300$ on upgrades for their PC to play HL2 and DOOM III (me included). And the irony is, that you get all that for only 399 + controllers + game, while a new video card will cost you 600+. Consoles are the way to go, my friends. I myself own PS2, xbox and PSP, I highly recommend that you rethink your attitude towards consoles. They are powerful machines with one thing in mind, play games, not surf net, burn DVD's and make movies and all that shiznit with devices that run on WINDOWS.

There is a high probability that those are PC screens because the game is actually developed and modeled on PC first and then moved to consoles.

Oh, please stop with the console specs crap already. If you want to show off how "great" consoles are, go do it in an appropriate thread. I didn't ask for console specs nor did I ask to start another flame war on Console vs. PC. How do you know PC will not handle it if no requirements have been released?

Plus, you still didn't answer my question, why don't you think those are PC screens. You just displayed randome specs that I really don't give a .... about.

PS: PCs are better. Period.

------------------

Anyway, back on topic, has anyone noticed that the pictures on the Xbox site have been removed. All except the BMW pic are gone, probably because of EA.

You did just point out the reason why Pc is 100 times better than consoles.
However, this isn't an console - pc thread. This is about discussing Most Wanted. So let's do that :)

But you are getting what you are paying for, a machine that plays games, leave all the multitasking to PC's cause that's what they are there for.

Don't bash the consoles, it just shows that you are very ignorant, just like I was few years ago when I had the best possible system setup ever made. And guess what, PS2 and xbox are just as good and you can have more fun with your friends than just staring at your small monitor alone in your mom's basement.

You wanna talk about Most Wanted? Fine, let's do that, but don't kill an educated argument here, which version will be superior? Of course, the one of Xbox360... Why? Xbox live, that supports voice chat, friend lists and custom soundtracks. You just wish NFSU2 on PC had that, the online sucked donkey's ass. And yes, there ARE no cheaters on consoles. Still not enough? How about the fact that when you pay your 59.99 for the game, you can be 100% sure that it will run at 60+fps with no lag. EA's system requirements gonna be the same for UG2 for simple reasons that very few people actually look at them and that if they raise them too high, nobody will buy them. Think about the money you are going to spend upgrading your PC's in order to play that game. While you are thinking, I'm gonna tell you that I've only spent 59.99 bucks and it runs perfectly on my system that is xbox which cost me less than my new 6800GT.

Arcade racing games are meant for consoles, and as for sims, nothing beats Gran Turismo 4 and FORZA. I got the best games of both worlds, and what can you say against enjoying both console and PC games? What is your excuse for depriving yourself of good games and fun?

Why are you still talking about consoles vs. computer? Do you understand English? I'm not going to waste my time and breath arguing over things which you have no idea what you're talking about. Why do you have to start arguments for absolutely nothing? Get a hobby or go outside, get some fresh air.

Back to what this topic is about...Need for Speed Most Wanted.
There is one line on the PCG stats page that kind of worries me: "What you do in the game to customize your car is entirely up to you."
What exactly does EA have in mind for the Porsche customization-wise?

I think it means that we don't have to make our cars a certain amount of star-rating. Which would be an improvement. (no more ugly WBK's, roofscoops,...)

Yeah I think the same as master-m does.

I also think that ALL the parts wil be available for ALL the cars: Players will be free to add roofscoops and stormy vinyls to exotics, and I bet they will do

Wow...its day time, there’s a cross walk, and it's old and beat up! The environment looks so real, and the Carerra...

This is turning out to be quite the sequel, I hope to see some nice body kits this time (Some in U2 scared me).

Thing is, can we cruise around this time, you always had to do over 100 MPH.

I can only hope for real physics, as in my Civic not weighing as much as an indestructible tank, I can crash H2's out of my way, and keeping going...Weird.

Are you referring to nfsu2? You could cruise around there, in Free Roaming mode.

I think we may get some racing closer to simulation rather than arcade:
"Need for Speed Most Wanted has taken every opportunity to replicate the car in the game as close to it's real world counterpart."
Hopefully they're replicating the performance as close as to the real car.
