CF as in carbon fiber?

Champ Car teams have been using carbon fiber chassis for while.

I founf out something very interesting about carbon fibre the other day. Apparently it disipates heat well enough to make engine parts out of. Go fig.

Thats why Carbon Fibre airboxes are so useful, as well as carbon fibre engine covers.
Also, CF is sometimes used in drive train parts because of friction, and the fact that powdered graphite can be used as a lubricant without risk of damaging the parts.

Yeah, never get coverage for the Indy down here, but I'm looking forward till they come to Surfers Paradise later on this year.

They have built chassis for the IRL.

Oh, I dodn't know that was a model :oops; But I was kidding anyway, I was just saying that because I thought they were real tires that looked they were CF.

Well I know that real F1 tyres have carbon fibre inside them as part of the construction, but I don't know about Champ cars . . .
