for those that dont know ford is having some financial problems right now and bill ford has officialy stepped down as CEO so for ford to bring a new car to europe is highly unlikely. also what is so special about em they are not that quick and their reliability rating has been subpar :?

All of the 'Big 3' companies are in big financial trouble, and they have been shutting down many factories and cutting heaps of jobs. I think they're a bit too focused on making muscle cars, instead of concentrating on regular passenger cars that will bring in the dough.

the only one that seems to be in ok shape is daimler/chrysler but thats a HUGE corporation so it would practically take the stock market to crash for them to go down

That's true. American suck like no other. Everyone in my family (except for my dad) can't seem to understand that simple truth and refuse to like imports.

Thats a generalization of all American made cars. Not all of them "suck". Most cars have flaws yea, but to me, I dont care who makes the car, just as long as i like it. \:D/

of course there is going to be broken down cars when your apart of a nation that has the one of the largest amounts of automobiles your going to see some cars that dont want to run. usually the broken down cars i see are all foreign kinds like mazda, kia, honda b/c people around here dont know how to fix em, unlike a good ol' american pickup truck where you can get to everything really easy. at the shop i work at we all groan when a foreign car comes in b/c they are a pain in the ass to work on, on some of them you would think a monkey wired the car. nothing is ever simple now with them foreign jobs, to change a alternator on a protege you have to put the car on a lift and stand underneath the car wrestling with the alternator just to get it out. whereas a american made car the alternator is right in front of you easy to change if need be. well thats my two cents and i am a mechanic/ technician so i know what im talking about
