Hey. abrams..u said that u dont wanna reset ur monitor's width&height everytime u play the game..Why is there a problem if the monitor keeps reseting?

Well it lags the tiniest bit at max settings (including AA and AF max) with 1280x1024.

EDIT: I guess my global AA was set as 8x...

Haha, yeah, that'll do it ;)

Also, in the Nvidia drivers, if you set your image quality using the preview, if you select anything other than performance, it'll force AA and anisotropic filtering in every game. My friend was complaining to me the other day because he is borrowing my old 6600GT and installed new drivers and now he can't run Oblvion @ 1280. It turned out he set it to Quality (4x AA, 8x AF). LOL

In driver settings you need to turn off everything and put everything on performance, that way your windows runs faster and games choose their own settings.

p.s. t3ice my monitor doesnt have automatic width-height re-apply, all done with buttons on it.

@stereo, i am getting the ASUS versian thing of that mobo, that supports 2 x 16x pci-e. its a sweet one!

i mean they both support x16 speed when in sli. where on most mobos its only x16 when you have one, and its x8 when your in sli.

I have used ay 8800 GTX ..for about a day or so :P ..and it totally rocks!!...but im not planning to get it anytime soon, since i already have a good enough gpx card.

It says X32 in SLI on the title, meaning 16x each slot even with SLI...

And I bet the ASUS board doesn't glow red underneath. :D

rofl, yes my asus board doesnt glow, but yes that is what i was saying, so now that we got that clear.... Myne is black! MAtches case video and ram.

You should'ave taken a core2duo processor..it would be worth the extra :P
Also what mobo are u using?

um yeah 3.4Ghz Pentium D is only few bucks cheaper then lowest C2D E6300 wich is way superior.

its a huge upgrade from a P4 2.6 to a e6300 imo

My cousin who got the 8800GTX is giving me his old 6800GT, and I'm getting a Cooler Master Elite case on Friday. So yayz0rz. :) Now I just need a secondary hard drive. :(

how can a 40 gig HDD be primary, i mean if its only for Windows, fine, but primary for games/other stuff?
