Deodorant
Deodorant
Just a silly thing but when i was shaking ma deodorant can just now, the more i shook the more it was harder to shake, anyone no why? My first thought was probably the molecules reacting to friction, some1 prove me wrong =/
Well you gotta put it in perspective, Pabbie.
You see, 5 really interesting topics aint much, more like a gold mine. 5 uninteresting topics however, should equal a ban.
And this is a really interesting topic...
I don't know what your "problem" could be though.
Maybe you're just getting tired in your arm of all the shaking, and it therefor feels heavier?

I'm guessing, but with shaking you mean the mass inside the deodorant moving up and down?
Well in that case and if the deodorant is a spray, the inside is filled with two things: deodorant liquid and propellant gas for spraying the liquid. When deodorant is left alone on fixed ground the liquid ends up on the bottom of the can while the gas remains on top. After a few shakes the two mix together and what's left inside the can is a homogene substance. You can't shake a brick...

If you don't shake the can and spray it means that mostly only gas will go out but no deodorant liquid which would result in bad smell. Also if you continue to do that in the end you'll run out of gas leaving deodorant liquid still inside the can with no way to get it out.
Spray first and shake later really does nothing.

another way to explode spray deoderant as well as many other spray can products. simply, start a fire, and spray the contents and if you hold it, eventually the flame will go into the can, causing your life to become a mizerable hellfire and burning pain, and you find yourself standing next to satan because you killed yourself.
