But yet the 360 is more powerful than the PS3...Well at least it's a leg up from PS3's 20 and 60 GB HDDs and also if any of you know, MS had that black X360 as a prototype but then just changed it to white, so I guess they just brought it back to life and made it final

I am not a fan of either the PS3 or XBOX 360. But almost every hardware comparison I have looked at, the PS3 out performs the 360. There were a few that I looked at that did show the 360 outperform in a few games, such as in the rearview mirror in Need For Speed Carbon. On the 360, the rearview is more detailed, meaning more landmarks and objects, but that is a very minor thing.
No it's not. They changed the chip dimensions for cooling purposes but the specs are exactly the same as the original. What's different in this version is larger HDD, black, HDMI port and it runs much cooler (oh, and it's more expensive).S2000_Skyline12 wrote:But yet the 360 is more powerful than the PS3
yes but we gota check out how long 360 has been out and how long ps3 has and the games between both and how developer's are gona take alot of time trying to get all of the power from the ps3 so well see in the summer time or fall when the games come out and we can really tell the difference
and is it only they can play 1080p movies and shows or can they play hd games like GT HD that PS3 has

PS3 has been out longer and still sucks, they products used to be good but now they are all cheap. Microsoft is going to rule the world.
I used to own a PS2, (still do) and thought it was great but then the controlers were a little crappy. I am more of the kind of person who likes better gaphics so I really wanted the Xbox. Now PS3 came out and it has a bigger graphics card than Xbox 360, which means it good have better graphics than 360 but they havent really ever know how to use it. They have only prooved that in two games so far but in the long run I don't think they will be able to pull it off. I have been saving up for a 360 ever since I read about PS3 and I still want it. Maybe if I had a smaller TV I would but PS3 and if it had better games but at this point based on hwat I have seen so far, Xbox 360 is the way to go.

Then I guess IGN was lying to me then.IGN wrote:There are three critical performance aspects of a console:
* Central Processing Unit (CPU) performance.
* The Xbox 360 CPU architecture has three times the general purpose processing power of the Cell.
* Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) performance
* The Xbox 360 GPU design is more flexible and it has more processing power than the PS3 GPU.
* Memory System Bandwidth
* The memory system bandwidth in Xbox 360 exceeds the PS3's by five times.
The Xbox 360's CPU has more general purpose processing power because it has three general purpose cores, and Cell has just one.
Cell's claimed advantage is on streaming floating point work which is done on its seven DSP processors.
The Xbox 360 GPU has more processing power than the PS3's. In addition, its innovated features contribute to overall rendering performance.
Xbox 360 has 278.4 GB/s of memory system bandwidth. The PS3 has less than one-fifth of Xbox 360's (48 GB/s) of total memory system bandwidth.
CONCLUSION
When you break down the numbers, Xbox 360 has provably more performance than PS3. Keep in mind that Sony has a track record of over promising and under delivering on technical performance. The truth is that both systems pack a lot of power for high definition games and entertainment.
However, hardware performance, while important, is only a third of the puzzle. Xbox 360 is a fusion of hardware, software and services. Without the software and services to power it, even the most powerful hardware becomes inconsequential. Xbox 360 games—by leveraging cutting-edge hardware, software, and services—will outperform the PlayStation 3.
Uh dude...That E-Machines comp has a onboard ATi Xpress 200/300 right? Those GFX kinda suck. I would know cause I have one ATM (not for long though)BEEFKING69 wrote:nice it looks alot better and will function better. and the ps3 will always suck really bad every thing sony makes is cheap and cheesy. all they are really selling is there name and big heaps of plastic. the ps3 looks like crap works like crap the graphics r s***y on every game ive played they r full of jaggies the controller is the worst of any console ever. my $600 e-machines i got from walmart has better graphics and all it has is onboard video and onboard soud so rip ps3 and nice try sonny.

BEEFKING69 sounds like a PS3 hater and probably hasn't played a ps3 game on a HD TV. My friend has a PS3 set up to his 1080p 54 inch Hitachi and Resistance looks pretty mean.
I think I'm going to start saving up for the new Xbox 360... =]

No, it's nothing like that, I can give the PS3 it's respects on power, I just found out that the 360 was more powerful, doesn't mean that the PS3 has nothing to offer, I just prefer the 360 cause the GFX between PS3 and X360 are similar and one costs less.
But it would make no sense if MS made a 120GB HDD for the X360E but didn't make them seperate for sales so that the people who already have the X360 can just buy em and not have to pay for another 360.

And there is a new trailer for it.McLaren_dude wrote:but you know what one of the bad things is, that some of the games that are coming out on ps3 aint comming for 360, like gt5, i really wanted to play that.
