I have a an old PC PSU sitting around here and I was wondering if using the 12v output I could hook up a car head unit? The head unit will not be more than 50w and the PSU supports 5.5amps at 12v on the yellow wire which I belive will run 60-70w?

Im not sure but I think ive heard instead of using the motherboard switch to start the PSU you can earth the green wire on the mobo plug?
