Re: Coolest cars you've seen
I've passed by a few and noticed some other manufacture's cars on a lot (Aston Martin at a Ferrari Dealer, etc,) but the only dealership we've actually been on the lot of was a Porsche dealer, and since they were closed all we did was drive through.

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
A guy who owns a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is unsure how to park his car, to the point he needed 2 persons to aid him. This is in Singapore, and boy was it a funny scene..

And what the hell did he want to do?
And as you can see, the engine was overheating as those air intakes opened.

Mmm . . . I love the smell of burning clutches in the morning.

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
I don't think he'll have problems with the clutch. All Murcielago LP640's here are sold in E-Gear. Only the Gallardo's are sold in 6-speed manual.
He was just trying to park the car. I think it's the engine bay blocking the rear view. It's been a chronic issue for Murc owners. Now I can see how they're paying the price for exclusivity.taz947 wrote:And what the hell did he want to do?

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Yeah, but he already got it right from the first time. All he had to do is some little forward-backward moves and it's done.
Re: Coolest cars you've seen
It's been a issue with basicly any Lamborghini, the Countach was impossible to park (even worse then the modern ones because it has some very heavy steering (and lacked power steering) and a bloody heavy clutch, the Diablo wasn't any better.Andre_online wrote:. Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Actually, not all is bad now. The Gallardo now has a rear glass to provide rear view, which its engine - for the first time - isn't obsrtucting. I say that was a good move for Lamborghini to hide the engine under the glass and provided a rear visibility for reversing. Also, the reverse camera was really a nice touch in the 2006 standard/spyder models.
I don't know their sales figures for the Gallardo models, but I'm sure they were better than of the Murcielago's, in a sense that it's sooo much more practical (I wouldn't wanna pay so much for a soft-top version if the top is not folding-automated).

My bad.. I'm always a blur nut on every eve of a new year.boganbusman wrote:That's why I said clutches, not clutchAndre_online wrote:All Murcielago LP640's here are sold in E-Gear.
Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Even with a rear window the visibility isn't all that great even in the Gallardo, sure it's a lot better then the Murciélago or the Diablo, but as with most supercars it's still pretty weak, but then you are not suposed to parallel park a Lamborghini.

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Most of the time when I see Lamborghinis stationary, they're usually at hotels or some posh places, an the cars are always parked in paralell. Must be the valet parkers.
Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Yeah, but the LP560-4 has a rear back-up camera. And I think that the Gallardo Spyder MY09 has this option.

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
The base Gallardo models from 2006 onward comes equipped with a rear-view camera. It was no longer an option, which was included in the SE and Nera models before 2006.
Back to more cool cars, look at what I spotted over the last week of December (or should I say, the final week of 2008):
1.) Bentley Continental GTC, spotted at a golfing place. It's not known if the owner is a VIP, but the cones were certainly a giveaway.
2.) Bentley Continental GT, spotted along a street of famous local eating houses at a business district. This was also the same place where I spotted the V8 Vantage (see here). Apologies for the bad angle as there was a security guard present.

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Very, very nice. Are they actually the same car, or is that just a coincidence?

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Same make, but different models - one is a convertible and one is a coupe. Look at my description. Oh, they're taken on different days. Just one day apart from each picture, to be precise.Carcrazy wrote:Very, very nice. Are they actually the same car, or is that just a coincidence?
And yes, it was a mere coincidence. I never expected any posh cars - let alone a Bentley - to be there in the first place (although this wasn't the first time I saw them at these locations).

A dealer only sells other manufactors other than it's own unless it's pre-owned or if the manufactor itself is a group.Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:A Spyker in a Lamborghini dealership in America?

I think what he meant to say was that he didn't expect to see a Spyker in a Lamborghini dealership.

We're actually getting some very nice cars through the Mount in recent weeks. Black Aston Martin DB9 anyone? We also have a red Nissan 200SX S15 Spec.R for AU$28,888 I want it sooo badly....

Re: Coolest cars you've seen
Hi peoples
Seems to be more and more nice cars appearing on the streets, but that's probably because my school's in South Yarra...
Anyway, saw a black SL65 AMG, red F430 and black gallardo spyder.

Woops! I just realised I have this picture. Here it is, the DB9:t3ice wrote:^Pics or GTFO...
Another car I spotted: Rolls Royce Phantom. I thought it had a nice colour combination. Again, it was coming out from the Grand Hyatt Hotel. No passenger at the back seat though. This was taken in the midst of last year.
Spotted this at the famous 5-star Raffles Hotel while walking to towards the subway: Maserati Quattroporte. As you could tell, the picture quality is slightly messed up, that's because I was on 4x zoom; I shot it from a far range. Valets were on guard watching the car.
Re: Coolest cars you've seen
I go past the Rolls-Royce dealership once a week, which happens to be next to the Aston-Martin dealership XD
Shame there's no Ferrari dealership, only a Lamborghini one...
