Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
Need for Speed SHIFT apart from the visual upgrades on the outside of the car also features interior tuning. Each car can have it's cockpit upgraded and the guys at Gamerzines posted a few pictures of a stock and upgraded interior.

Re: Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
That looks cool. You can have a road car and tune it to make it a race car! I like that.
Let's hope that change isn't only a "package", but that you can actually modify some stuff, like what kind of wheel, gauges, etc. And let's hope all the other visual tuning (bodykits, spoilers and rims) are also cool to transform a road car into a racing car.
I just want a damn demo now!

PSZeTa... hehe lol...
I think you can expect it to be a package system and not individual parts, just like bodyparts etc.

Re: Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
I was playing Midnight Club today, toying around with the interior customization and thought it'd be cool to have it in other games. Then I come here and find out about these news.

From the looks of the menu, it appears that these upgrades will be in packages. I doubt you can change each individual part. I think bodykits are going to be the same... Just three full kit options.Hydro_PT wrote: Let's hope that change isn't only a "package", but that you can actually modify some stuff, like what kind of wheel, gauges, etc. And let's hope all the other visual tuning (bodykits, spoilers and rims) are also cool to transform a road car into a racing car.
It would be cool to have the option to change each part, but I think all the bodykits/interiors look pretty damn good so far, so I really don't mind.
Re: Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
These are nice upgrades, looking forward to see them live and try them out !! I can't wait !!

Re: Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
i somehow cant see us having options at to what parts go in the interior, i can see it just being like level 1 cockpit upgrade is just a steering wheel upgrade, level 2 steering wheel and engine/fan switches and some gauges. and then level 3 being steering wheels, gauges, switches, and roll cages.Zotic+ wrote:man that gives the game a real racing expierience, i wonder if we can choose between sparco steering whell or a momo steering wheel
just what i can see happening

Re: Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
It doesn't matter as 4 Tuning, SH!FT is focused on the Driver's Experience and not on Tuning anymore.

Re: Cockpit Upgrades In SHIFT
Guys if a real car suffered as little damage as the SHIFT cars, it would probably act similarly in real life, when it hit a wall at that angle at that speed. What you see is caused by the lack of real damage. The car doesn't crumple and deform, when hitting the wall, nor does it spin out of control.. as a real life car would. The chassis is so stiff in there and the car takes little to no performance damage, that instead it rides along the wall. I agree, it sucks that it's possible, but strictly speaking, the engine allows this to happen, because its collision detection and the way it handles collisions has nothing to do with real life.
This doesn't necessarily mean that the rest of the driving experience - you know, how the car responds to input and generally behaves outside of crash situations - is rubbish. Damage is an issue, but the rest might still be good.
