Hell yes! Don't just think about it. I bought myself a 32" 1080p LED TV a couple of weeks ago just to play this game. It's going to be epic.boganbusman wrote:Hells yeah, about freakin time. My housemate already has a PS3 but maybe I will get a GT5 + PS3 bundle for myself
The link below shows a neat video of an A.I race (all cars, including the MX-5). They look very aggressive compared to previous GT games, and they’re no longer stuck to the racing line. I love watching the Lexus avoid the incident towards the end of the race (5:19).
Just 2.5 more days...

Re: Gran Turismo 5
That MX-5 certainly doesn't LOOK like it's being driven by AI...more like someone who is clinically insane behind the wheel judging by the first couple of laps.
Re: Gran Turismo 5
Holy firetrucking shiznit, I could spend the rest of my life in Photo Mode. I just wish you could change the white balance.

Re: Gran Turismo 5
Picked it up today Found a good deal on a PS3 320GB + GT5 for only $487, couldn't pass it up!
And what can I say... this game firetrucking pwns.
Started with an NA MX5 and it was quite nice to drive, but then I stumbled across a supercharged AW11 and I fully jizzed in my pants. It's even the same colour as mine
Username is Zerogokii, hope to meet you guys on the track sometime.

Any racing wheel?
Re: Gran Turismo 5
Been playing since yesterday and I've had fun, even though my wheel setup sucks .
I got the cheapest wheel I could find, so I guess you get what you pay for..
But that's not all.. I have the wheel on a little table which is much too light to be stable.
So the wheel doesn't respond to any small movements and when I yank on the wheel I sometimes lift the table with it .
But I really don't have much choice.. I don't have the room for a bigger and better setup.

Re: Gran Turismo 5
Love it, love it, LOVE IT!
They even have an R31 Skyline in it. Major respect. And as above with HaZ, I could spend all my time just taking pics. I know I've already taken nearly 10 billion photos just of my glorious Rosso Ferrari 512BB...
Great with the G25 too, all shifting patterns work and although you can't technically stall it in GT5 the clutch works well. Can even pump it to start a good slide.

Re: Gran Turismo 5
This game is seriously awesome. I tried out rallying for the first time yesterday, using my DFGT wheel... and it was bloody amazing. I drove a WRC car using the cockpit view during the day/night transition. The scenery and sunset lighting looked great.... then the stars came out, and a fireworks display near the track lit up the sky with colour. It was a magical moment, and I was blown away by the accurate force feedback from the wheel.
I also had a quick go at the rally driving school which creates randomly generated A-B rally stages. Very fun.
I seriously cannot wait to get into my first big races of my career. Would love try out pitstops, weather changes and endurance racing. They are all to come shortly.
My PSN is: GTP_jacoja06
Bogan, I just added you. Great to hear you got the game!

Re: Gran Turismo 5
I just got and Ive only played for an hour and still have a big grin on my face. I have just realized there is soooo much i havent tried out yet! Im now waiting for that 8 GB install to finish. I messed around with the tuning also, i think its a good start for PD on tuning. Damage isnt bad. The physics feel so much better and so right. BTW does anyone have the gamestop collector editions cars, that mclaren BURNS through tires so quickly.

Looking forward to more premiums . ^
Also, this is a cool feature. You can use your computer to view your profile (and profiles of friends). Here's mine if anyone is interested. I'm currently trying to train my B-Spec driver, 'X.Wang' for the SLS AMG competition.
