um.. its just coz ATI 8500 is a shiznit graphics card nowdays.
It will just get worse and worse and games come out so i advise you to get a new card like a 9600XT or better.
Or a 9200 if you want to spend like $30...
Anti-aliasing has nothing to do with this problem it will jsut make it lag a lot more.
Sorry mate, its a graphics card problem not a game problem.

Yea his grapics card is like mine, it's only directx8 video card, the specs require a directx9c card, which the only ones available now which are 100% directx9c are the NVidia 6800's and newer. The ATI's aren't fully directx9c spec'd yet, and definately not one that old. Try at least an ATI 9600/NVidia GF-5700 for at least full directx9a/b compatibility. May also wanna try to turn down AA and AF in game. Or go back to 800x600, which is what I have to run it at. I also use the slider under the sizer and activate the quality settings of the game which helps as well. Then go into the advanced settings and turn off AF and AA and anything else you don't need.
