NFSU2 Custom Car Vinyl Contest

EA GAMES is looking to add ten (10) user created vinyls to the final cut of Underground 2 so if youâ€™re an artist or someone who just wants to add their personal flair to the game, then rev up your favorite art program and get started. If getting in the game still isn't enough, then they'll give you a copy of the game free when it's released as an added incentive.

To get started, download this file and use the custom JPG templates to design your car vinyl. Each vinyl design has to be created on a 1024 x 1024 pixel canvas that can be reduced to 512 x 512 with little-to-no loss of detail. The design must follow one of the three 1024 x 1024 templates that are included in the Vinyl Template Package: The Hood, the Rear Quarter Panel, or the Entire Side. The design MUST stay within the RED areas indicated on each template.

Unfortunatly the contest is only open to US and Canada (excluding Quebec) residents.

EA sucks... only make US and Canada comps... is ridÃculous, oh obvius they don't have money to mail a copy of NFSU2 to another countries...

Yeah right , after you get the vinyl in the game , and you get your
free copy , then you could tell them it was you . what are they gonna
do then , take your game back and everyone elses and change
the game . LOL!!!

I think it's because soo many people will enter if it's open for everyone!

So if i get it right you only can edit 1 of the three file's that are in the zip file!? So you never can edit the whole car with the hood.
And what's up with that 16 colour pallette. Anyone knows how to set that in photoshop7!?

Im confused, do u get Need For Speed Underground 2 for free only if they take your custom vinyl or is it that if you enter you get a free copy?

What they are saying is that your vinyl, once put into the game, will be reduced to a 16 colour palette and thus could lose some quality. If you want to test the look in photoshop, do a save for web, GIF and set palette to 16 colours.

It's not fair! I'm only 10 yrs old. My dad won't do this thing but I already made a vinyl, looks good but then I found out only 18yrs or older may participate. I hate EA.

Well, they must have added an age limit for some reason. If you actually won the contest then you would probably have to tell them your address and all this info. Might even have to sign a contract.

And once again a competition that is off interst for me creating your own vinyl and i can't be in it because i life in stupid europe i am gona move to usa or aussie so i can enter the competitions there are no comp's here in europe .@!?*&^%%#$%@ continent

USA and Canada mate. Last i checked, Australia couldn't be much further away from either of those countries. And we'll probably get NFSU2 three months later than the rest of you, so I wouldn't complain too much about your continent.

this is a great comp. EA put together. Too bad i wasnt there to enter it. But im in Australia so i cant enter it anyways. Well i'm back btw. Its great to see all of u's again.
