They had a fire extinguisher, why didn't they use it or did they just f**k it up. The flames weren't that big at beginning.

sorry to say but if I are such a major MORON to film a small fire (most likely electical short)

and you have a extinguisher then why don't you use it... (propperly!!!)

and I bet the owner had to install his extra indicators himself with some ductape and a scissor... and made a nice short while doing it... (and I think that is why they where filming the dailpod in the first place...

well you all learned something today:

1 never install a buch of indicators when you have no knowlage of electronics (of a car)
2 he knew his oil temp was to high

3 always have a (preferebly CO2) extinguisher

He had an extinguisher, it's just that he doesn't know how to operate it. Probably he ripped off the instructions that was pasted on the extinguisher. And now he's paying the ultimate price...

I would bet on it that they had messed with the wires and shortcircuited it as simple as that! you can get a fire started really easy with that..

Turbos tend to overheat, but Ive never seen one on fire. Id put it down as an electrical fire.
