LOCKED FORUMS

Locked forums are so annoying.........you scroll down the forum and half are locked.....what the hell is the point of having them there.....its useless.....the admins should take them out so that usefull, USABLE forum,s could take there place......feeling me........its just a segestion.....

Only the news forum is... only mods/admins and people with permissiion can post a new topic there

What are you talking about here, Jazz? There's no locked forums at all, I think... It's just that we're not allowed to reply to posts or make a new topic, that's all..

Other than that, no forums are locked.

Nope, not only the News forum. The "Important Announcements and Rules" forum is limited to admins only to reply and make a new topic, and the "Test Board" forum is limited to both mods & admins to reply.

Noooooooo.......you guys dont get it.......ummm do you no (for example) you go into General Discussion and you look at all the topics............and some are locked because people have been spamming in them......or beeing an idiot or something......thats what i mean.....there locked and you can not reply in them anymore and im saying that its really annoying to just leave them there......the admins should take them out so that you can see the topics that are on the next page...........do you get it......

The question is: What for? There's a locked sign for purpose. What's so annoying with that? OK, maybe having a new forum for LOCKED TOPICS might be a good idea. But it's too much IMO..

Some forums have an Archive that's useful for the search function.

Admins lock topics if there outdated, answer to a question was told, or wrong fourm.. They dont do it to bug people..

Just because a topic is locked, doesn't mean all of the posts in it are useless. You can still read them, unless you have to reply to everything you read...

If a topic was to disappear altogether, don't you think people would start asking why? Locked topics are left behind to explain the reasons why they were moderated. No one is forcing you to read them.

here's a suggestion (probably will be thrown at the window and spat on by Bojan on how stupid the idea is).. what if there was a forum section where the locked threads can be dumped in. Threads that are basically spam or simply stupid can be thrown in this section of the forum, and then they can be mocked by all other memebers - perhaps discouraging people from spamming the boards.... MUAHAHAHA :twistedl:

The topics are locked because spammers like you make posts that nobody can read.

You are late. I told Bojan that YEARS ago. He sayd it would be a lot of work to delete them all. Too bad for us.
