NFS Pro Street Officially Announced

It's easy to be cynical about this series - especially after Carbon - but I thought the trailer and screenshots looked good, and coupled with the earlier magazine coverage, I'm cautiously optimistic about Pro Street.

Hmmm, I think EA is hyping it up. Remember when the announced Carbon they said so many things about AutoSculpt and how it would be revolutionary? But when we got the game, AutoSculpt was oddly disappointing.

I agree, the graphics look great and damage is finally making a comeback. But still, will this game be a worthy NFS title? I think we'll just have to wait and see.

Anyways, I think I'll start a NFS ProStreet wiki on the NFSUnlimited Wiki. Any new carlist information should be posted there. I'll edit in a link as soon as the wiki is up.

btw the shot No4 i think is not ingame... There is now way they are using ray tracing rendering for ingame graphics. Stuff like that is used in movies, like shrek, cars and stuff like hat. If you look closely u will see perfect reflection of spoiler and side mirror on the bonet. And that is ray tracing rendering. So far in games is used only enviroment mapping...

exactly, only no1 and 2 from official site looks like in-game graphx, 3-5 are jst CGs

Finaly!!! Need For Speed Pro Street is announced... and FINALY... we will be racing seriously. A lot of people aregued about this game... but sorry on what? We always point fingers to EA while if we look around, example Juiced HIN the gameplay I've seen from videos and graphics are horrend! We have drag strips, great graphics (as seen from the screen shots) and this time we will be racing seriously. I was fed up of carbon, I had a big hype for it to arrive, but when I bought my copy and started playing it I got annoyed. I read the article IGN posted: It is great! I'm not a big understander of games let's face it, but I have had a lot of NFS games, and in my opinion, from what we've seen... this is the best! It is the same story line ok... but who gives a damn to the story line? We all want good racing.

Thank You EA, for giving us good racing games... and do not bother about people arguing.

PS: For people who say 1 year isn't long enough to make a game... it is not one person working on a game, but a whole team. I think that the biggest gaming company of the world isn't waiting for us to tell them how to work and what to do and create, they are much more experienced than we are.

Car list isnt complete...and the next movie to be revealed will be of an rx7 racing around a track, crashing into a sidewall and flipping on its roof, skidding and coming to a halt. You will see what sound, damage and smoke effects EA has in store with this game. The teaser was nothing.

The blue one looks like it could be an Acura, and the white one could be a 350Z.

Then again, they're not on the race track so they could just as easily be ornamental decoration.

We saw the teaser 10 days ago and then we saw a trailer today, what did you add exactly ?

i think ur right about the blue one but the white hmm i think g35? but still not sure

and i read the ign Maverick i think it might be very promising but i dont want to get all hype about it anymore so ill just wait it puts a few smiles on my face but i dont want to smile to much where ill be to pissed to even look at nfs anymore

The blue car looks more like an Acura RSX to me...and the white one i think is a VW Beetle lol

i hope they have the 1999 integra too... loved that car in underground..

i love the new spin on the game now... (no pun intended)
the drifting looks cool too, being able to bump the car and send it on 2 wheels. and i love the fact that the catch-up is finally gone.

the mitsubishi eclipse looks a little too ricey though.

and i refuse to buy the ps2 version, i will get a ps3. the ps2 version was screwed up last year, and i will not buy it again due to horrid graphics and lack of online.

i dont think the white car is anything. they could just be some cars that are a part of the track, just sitting there to impress the girls.

the car covered by the logo looks like an old pickup truck to me.

or, it could just be a rare japanese car. look over at the thing to the left of the eclipse, there is something with asian characters all over it.

After zooming in like crazy, the blue one definitely looks like an Acura RSX, the white one is a generic car model because the back is really weirdly shaped and I honestly do not know a car like that exists. The third car is a black Dodge Viper.

The blue is definitely an Acura RSX, look at the way the windows are shaped and how the front lights are. The white car probably isn't a Mercedes CLS, though I wish it was. It's a 2-door coupe. Doesn't look like a 350Z either, almost looks like a Volkswagen Beetle. It might even be a classic car, because the rear end of it ends quite abruptly.
