A 2007 Audi TT 3.2 quattro setup by GT3x24x7 created on 19. October 2009 14:10.

Since this car is hugely upgradable from humble Tier 1 roots, I was curious to see where it could best be used. Fully upgraded, it passes rating 10 but doesn't make it to 14, so I figure Rating 10 should be a good spot for it.

I've managed to build it to a 9.98 rating with a good mix of power and handling, including the level 3 drivetrain I needed in order to get at the differential settings and dial out that horrendous understeer.

In the end, the car is pretty drivable. Even if it's a little vague on the straights, at least it turns pretty well.

One thing to watch for - braking. It takes an age to brake, even with decent traction and level three upgrades. Brake master cylinder might help further, but I'm not prepared to sacrifice power in order to fit it. Be sure to brake in the orange zones, especially after long straights.

This is still quite a new setup and mostly a work in progress. Most so far it's been all about dialing out understeer and improving traction. Not much done so far in the gearing/top speed department. I'll update as it changes and improves.

Update v2: Complete suspension/geometry overhaul. Car is more planted now. Best test lap (no NOS) 1:29.296 @ Laguna.

  1. 9.98
