New ATi & nVidia Drivers Released

New video driver suites have been released by the big two manufacturers, ATi and nVidia. This takes the ATi Catalyst suite out to version 5.13 and the nVidia Forceware package to version 81.98.

New features in this Release include H.264 Hardware Acceleration, ATI CrossFireâ„¢ Support for the ATI RadeonÂ® X1800 and HQV Video Benchmark Support. No specific mention of issues with the Need For Speed series is made in the driver release notes.

[b]nVidia Forceware 81.98[/b]

No specific new features are mentioned in the 81.98 driver release notes. However, the document does mention that rendering problems in Need For Speed Most Wanted have been resolved in this release.
