We recently reported about a possible cancellation of the Need for Speed series and later on about closing NFS development studio Blackbox.
Part of that news is now true: EA issued a press statement about reducing it's work force by 10% (about 1000 employees) and the closure of several studios facilities, including the NFS series maker Blackbox' in downtown Vancouver. Blackbox will move to the nearby EA Canada's location in Burnaby. The press statement does not mention any games being canceled which means the production of NFS2010 will most likely continue.
