Finally, it has been made official: the ban hammer will come down on World, and it will come down hard. For many months the developer team said they were banning cheaters on a daily basis, but that isn't enough as World is plagued with cheaters and they just come back after the ban. So the developer team has finally put forward the idea of a more efficient anti-cheater measure, and they will very soon start to ban players on a large scale. Here's the official quote:
Beware the Ban Hammer!
NFSW currently has 11M registered users and continues to grow every week. To ensure that the overall game experience remains fun and more importantly, fair, we have been banning hackers on a regular basis. However, with the significant growth and popularity of the game, there has been an even greater increase in the number of hackers. We understand that players using such hacks negatively affect gameplay.
Rest assured, we are committed to creating the best experience possible and upholding the integrity of our Terms of Service. Steps are being taken by our Security Team to find and extract hackers or anyone violating the ToS on a daily basis.
All accounts that have been caught hacking or using third-party hacks will be permanently suspended. This includes both IGC and SpeedBoost players.
So, Don’t Cheat. Just Compete!
As you can see, both IGC and Speedboost players will be banned, so if you have invested real money in World but you also cheated, you will be banned. And that's the way it should be, really. Cheating is unfair for players who don't cheat; it ruins their game experience; it also ruins the cheater's sense of achievement because they are cheating. Overall, there isn't anything good about cheating... So, don't cheat. Just compete! Let's hope this will be Need For Speed: World's new slogan from now on.
