NFS World maintenance patch (16th October)

To all Need For Speed: World players, please be aware that the game servers will be [b]shut down[/b] today (16th October) for scheduled maintenance. This maintenance will take 5 hours. The list of new content and bug fixes is below.

[b]End time:[/b] 01:00 GMT (17th October)


[b]New Features:[/b]

- Drag, an all new race mode, has been added to the game. Challenge your friends or compete against others in a fast, adrenaline-filled race to the finish line!

- Full Manual transmission can now be selected and used (Drag races only).

- 4 new Drag tracks have been added across the World. These events are all Open and available every day for players.

- 3 new Drag Skill Mods have been added to the Skill Mod Shop for purchase, and to the Lucky Draw and Race Skill Packs to be won.

- Pre-race lobby and post-race screens have been updated to feature an improved user interface, including a full 3D view of any car and its installed parts.

- A Recent Players list has been added to the Social Menu, which contains all your most recent opponents or teammates in any event.

- The SpeedBoost store has been fully replaced by the Safehouse. Players are now able to make purchases and see their SpeedBoost balance all within the Safehouse.

- A new Gifts filter has been added to the Car Dealer and Aftermarket Shop.

- Halloween decorations, along with the Halloween exclusive Sprint race "Ghostwood", have made their return to Need for Speed World.

- A new Toyota Supra "Street Mod" Drag Edition has been added to the game and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer.

- A new Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake "Pro Stock" Drag Edition has been added to the game and is available for purchase from the Car Dealer.


[b]Bug fixes / changes:[/b]

- Fixed an issue that prevented some players from joining Groups;
- Fixed an issue that caused the license plate to disappear off of the BMW 3.0 CSL Gr.5;
- Fixed some see-through geometry on the Nissan Nismo R34GT-R Z-tune;
- The hood camera on the Nissan 200SX (S14) has been adjusted;
- Damage texture has been tweaked on the Marussia B2;
- A number of localization issues were fixed;
