Setups > Sub-14.00 GT-R SpecV
A 2010 Nissan GT-R V-Spec (R35) setup by Skroting created on 18. October 2009 01:26.
I haven't spent too much time trying to find the absolute perfect setup, because frankly, there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference in handling when small adjustments are made.
I've used Brands Hatch GP as my test track, and with this setup I've done a best lap of 1:21.8 with Normal Handling Mode (no assists). For more tracks, look at the playlist below.

You have Wider Tires/Wheels installed I guess. As I'm looking at it, they're set to N/A, but adding them makes the rating up to 13.98.Just back from a single test run online around Road America and I already know I'll be keeping this one. Such a pleasure to drive and a highly competitive rating 14 car.
Comments on the setup itself - I was surprised to see sway bars and springs stiffened from defaults, but this works very well. I was also astounded at the braking power of the car - it's gonna take some time to find new braking points I think. I did wonder too while building it whether it might want some final drive adjustments, but after driving it that's clearly unnecessary.
Cheers Skroting. Once we make user ratings possible for these Car Setup submissions, I'll be back to give this one full points. Meanwhile, I'm off to find some more races in your SpecV.. :P

Just started using this setup and have already noticed improvments in lap times. Thank you for providing a wonderful ride to use Skroting.

This setup is amazing! I've beat some people online with this car hehe, I was amazed with its performance. :DHowever, my setup is a bit different from yours. I'm not sure if it's better, but I think it is. Anyway, let me share it with you:
Firstly, I removed "Tires Stage 3", in part to keep the stock rims and because you just gain 0.01 seconds in acceleration (0-100 and 0-160). You lose 1 HP and 0.15 seconds in braking, so I don't think it's worth to install.
Then I didn't install a bodykit. It takes away a lot of performance for your car, why would you want that? You lose some 4 HP and some acceleration time. You only gain braking time. And the bodykit is ugly IMO. :p
Finally I decided to install a "Race Exhaust", which gives you some extra power, and removed "Seam-Welded Chassis" and "Brake Master Cylinder". The final rating is 13.93.
I've kept everything else, including the tuning. Let me know what you think, and thanks a lot for this setup! Now my GT-R really rocks. 8)

i found that if you take off the stage 3 tire you can throw on the increased boost to make it 14.00 Post comment
